THIS IS NOT AN INSURANCE POLICY, but a community support fund intended exclusively for citizens of Senegal, The Gambia, Mali, Mauritania, Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.

➢ A contribution of $80 (comprising a $70 annual donation and a $10 membership fee, totaling $80 USD or CAD) is required from all members. The program is open to all Senegalese and Muslim immigrants from other African countries living in the United States and Canada.

➢ The $80 annual donation is required for every individual aged 17 or older in a household.

➢ The donation campaign runs from May 15, 2024, to August 14, 2024.
➢ Coverage runs from August 15, 2024, to August 14, 2025.

➢ Support provided includes coverage by the Foundation for either:

• The cost of shipping the member’s remains to their country of origin, or
• Funeral expenses if burial occurs in the U.S. or Canada.

➢ The member’s family must entrust Hadiyatou Rahma with full responsibility for managing and finalizing the shipment process of the remains.
If the family does not give FONCAB (the Foundation) full control (such as choosing the funeral home or ensuring expedited shipping to reduce added funeral home fees), FONCAB reserves the right to handle the body shipment or burial at its own discretion.

➢ Additionally, Hadiyatou Rahma will only cover transport of the remains to DSS Airport in Senegal. Transportation beyond DSS is the responsibility of the deceased’s family.

➢ If the member is also covered by another program or is assisted by an entity other than Hadiyatou Rahma for the transport of remains, then Hadiyatou Rahma will provide financial assistance of $3,000.

➢ The same $3,000 will be paid to the family if the member passes away in their home country.

➢ A one-time $500 allowance will be paid to a member whose immediate family member (father, mother, husband, wife, son, or daughter) dies in their country of origin—unless the deceased is already a Hadiyatou Rahma member supported by FONCAB.

➢ This allowance is limited to one payment per deceased parent, regardless of how many siblings are members.

➢ If a member dies while traveling abroad (outside North America), the Foundation will cover the transportation costs to the home country.

➢ If a member dies while being visited by their parent, the Foundation will cover the transportation costs for the deceased member’s parent to Senegal.

➢ Direct relatives under 17 years old are automatically covered by their parent’s donation.

➢ Support is strictly limited to the transportation of the member’s remains and does not include any additional expenses.

➢ When a donor generously offers a membership donation, they cannot choose the recipient of the community support for remains transport.

➢ For non-Muslim participants, FONCAB must be contacted before choosing a funeral home, in order to approve costs. Otherwise, FONCAB will estimate burial expenses at its discretion.

➢ FONCAB is committed to managing funds and disbursements in a fully transparent manner. All disbursement details will be shared twice a year with local representatives (Diawrignes) of the Foundation for further distribution within local chapters.

➢ This coverage is currently only available to applicants residing in North America.

➢ Your payment receipt sent by email serves as proof of your membership.
