Fondation Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba N.A
The Foundation Cheikh Bamba of North America is a religious non profit organization under the IRS Section 501 c (3) regrouping 44 chapters across the U.S and Canada. FONCAB was established in 2015 Detroit, Michigan after the conclusion of a workshop of deleguates presided by Serigne Mame Mor Mbacké, the Khalif of Serigne Murtada, son of the founder of the Murid Brotherhood. Serigne Fallou Samb is the current President of FONCAB.
Our Achievements

Islamic Centers in the United States and Canada
Recognizing the need for Mourides in North America to have dedicated spaces for worship and community activities, FONCAB has successfully acquired Islamic centers (Keur Islamique) in the United States and Canada. These centers serve as hubs for religious gatherings, educational programs, and cultural events, ensuring that the Mouride diaspora can practice their faith and maintain their spiritual and cultural identity.

Medical Aid: Shipping Containers of Supplies to Senegal
In its ongoing humanitarian efforts, FONCAB has facilitated the shipment of medical supply containers to Senegal, providing hospitals and clinics with much-needed equipment and resources. These shipments include medical devices, medicines, and other essential materials aimed at improving healthcare access for communities in need. This initiative has had a significant impact, especially in rural areas where medical resources are often scarce.

Repatriation of Deceased Community Members
FONCAB has established a funeral assistance program to help transport the bodies of deceased community members to Senegal and other West African countries. Understanding the deep cultural and spiritual significance of returning loved ones to their homeland for burial, the organization provides logistical and financial support to families during these difficult times. This initiative reflects the core Mouride values of fraternity and solidarity.

Community Involvement
Since its creation, FONCAB has been deeply engaged in community service, providing support to Mourides and Muslims across the Americas. Through educational programs, religious gatherings, and charitable initiatives, FONCAB fosters a strong sense of unity and belonging among its members. The organization also plays a key role in assisting families in times of need, ensuring that Mourides in the diaspora remain connected to their cultural and spiritual heritage.
